Education Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones said in a regional meet last February 2019, that “sports is a very important part of education and we invest a great deal in it.”

 

Such is being implemented also in Toclong Elementary School where it continues to develop young athletes through its Toclong Fighters Sports Club. As early as possible, they train intensely in preparation for the lower meets (cluster and city levels). The overarching goal is to compete and snatch a medal in the Regional Sports Competition (RSC) and Palarong Pambansa.

 

At present, the school participates in the following events: athletics (track and field), football/soccer, and sepak takraw. The school continues to strive to encourage its pupils to engage in different sports. The club is clear in saying that sports is a unifying force that unites and celebrates differences and achievements.
